Selteco Photo Lab

This application is a photo editor and viewer, as well as an image enhancer. It allows you either to browse through your computer in order to select the picture you want to adjust, or to take a screenshot and use it as source for further quality improvement, or to open an existing file or the last edited document for further customization.

The interface has a classic layout, very common with this type of programs. There are toolbars disposed around a working area that takes the largest part of the interface; obviously, some of these bars can be deselected to achieve an uncluttered appearance.

First of all, Selteco Photo Lab can be used as your default image viewer. The moment you launch the program, a small window appears on the screen asking you whether you wish to open all TIF, BMP, JPEG, and GIF file formats with this program.

Secondly, you can use it as a photo editor to perform basic picture adjustments, such as rotation, cropping, background removal, and down sampling before you upload images to websites. However, the strength of the program resides in its photo enhancement capabilities. Similarly to other tools, Selteco Photo Lab comes with a series of features intended to perform color and luminosity adjustments. Depending on the user's skills and knowledge, they may make use of these functions to correct skin imperfections, sharpen picture details, or increase the intensity of the image. In addition, it provides special effects that help you fade out the image edges to the background, create perspective and reflective illusions, simulate light coming from one side of the picture, drop flares on points of light to create sparkles, and so on.

All the features mentioned above make Selteco Photo Lab a great tool for photo adjusting and retouching. However, if you are not used to Photoshop-like software, you may find it a bit difficult to use.
